The Pioneers earned their seventh straight win on Saturday with a 71-50 victory over the United States Coast Guard Academy. The win advanced Smith’s record to 19-2 overall and 13-1 in the NEWMAC.
After averaging 14 points, 3.3 assists, and 2.7 steals per game in Smith’s 3-0 week, sophomore Paulina Solis was awarded with a place on the New England Basketball Association’s Honor Roll for the week of February 4. Solis had over 20 points for the second time this season in Smith’s 79-44 win over Springfield Wednesday night.
Smith Basketball will play their final two games of the regular season this week. On Wednesday, the Pioneers will “Play 4 Kay” against Clark University. Both teams will wear pink in warm-ups and raise funds for the Kay Yow Fund for breast cancer research.
