Inspired by “Humans of New York,” “Humans of Smith” is dedicated to sharing stories from the Smith community.

“I’m still kind of adjusting to being here, and I’m worried that I’ll never fully adjust. … ‘cause I’m still not to the point where I’m completely comfortable everywhere. When I go home, I act a lot different than I am here. I feel like because I’m still getting to know people, I’m not comfortable just saying exactly what I feel like I want to say and be myself. And I feel like when I go home, it’s the other way around, I’m more extra and I have too much energy, and everyone around me is like, ‘calm down!’ So I’m worried about that, but I think I’ll get over that soon.

“And I miss playing my music, so I look forward to when I’m, like, not. … I guess when I’m at home or when I’m in my car, where I can play my music really loud in the middle of the night and not bother anyone. So that’s something I look forward to, ‘cause that’s one of my favorite things to do. Also I miss my cat, Zsazsa.”
